GUMC collects donations of non-perishable food items and monetary donations to support the food pantry of SCAN.
Food donation boxes are located outside the main doors of the church sanctuary. There is also the pantry in the Fellowship Hall where you can "shop" and leave your purchase in the basket. Donations are driven to SCAN.
Monetary donations in support of food purchases/donations are also welcome.
Initiated and lead by our youth, the program collects money through donations and fundraising events.
Funds are used to purchase gifts and to support south county families during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays each year. Families and their requests are provided by local school and social services.
We partner with Miss Plum’s Farm Stand of Deale, MD to deliver fresh produce and baked goods to select local families during the summer. Contact Linda to volunteer to drive! Lrs68@verizon.net
